Secession

An installation view of a large white gallery with florescent lights and a concrete floor. A number of sculptures are staged throughout the room. To our right, a white free standing pedestal or wall is angled toward the back left corner of the room. Above and further behind this white sculpture, two black speakers hang from the ceiling. In the center of the floor a large black rectangular platform or box is angled toward the back of the gallery. The wood or metal appears shiny and reflects lights from the ceiling. Behind this platform, delicate sculptures made of what appear to be white twigs or delicate rods interlock to almost human height. Behind them is a dark colored wall work hanging in the right hand corner of the gallery.

Reflections of the walls and floor distort in the metal sculpture.

The reflective, tall metal sculpture is seen at the back of the image and to our right there is another, what appears to be identical, reflective metal sculpture. Strange distortions appear in the side facing us. The distortions of floor and wall but also maybe the reflection of a wall work which cannot be seen in the image.

Another installation view of the two reflective metal sculptures, this photograph taken from a slightly different angle shows a clearer reflection of some wall work on the wall opposite. An almost floral red image, like a distorted tulip, beside a black leaf or floral image. Above the two reflections, which seem like they might be painted on the wall opposite, are four small yellow and orange markings.

A close up image of hanging glass or clear plastic sculptures. Five long, thin pipes of glass or plastic appear to hang from ceiling to floor of the gallery space (although it's not clear given the detail shot). The sculptures are segmented every few inches as if they screw together or attach in sections. At every attachment the pipe slightly narrows and a turquoise oval or leaf shape extends. The shapes slightly resemble clear glass bamboo with turquoise leaves.

Beyond an exit sign, in an open doorway, the reflective metal sculpture picks up distortions from the light and colors on the screen.
