This soundscape was created by recording the ambient sound in the exhibition space during closing hours, at night, shortly before the opening date. This 'silent' recording was then amplified in post-production, adding gain across all frequencies of the spectrum and revealing the intricacy of what we usually call and think of as silence. The resulting 180-minute drone track was looping in the gallery for the duration of the show, playing through speakers that were installed beneath the central coffin. In this video rendition, the soundscape is paired with slow pans over the black silk shred that was covering Myour’s coffin. The soundscape was conceived and produced by Giangiacomo Gallo.
